Indore, 30th June 2018: Scouting for a woman who is a beautiful blend of intellect, sass and oomph, Yamaha Fascino Miss Diva – Miss Universe India 2018styled by Centralbegan its auditions inIndore, 30th June 2018.The coveted pageant has been instrumental in re-inventing the definition of beauty and fashion and setting new milestones each year. Miss Diva, a BCCL property established in 2013, is currently in its SIXTH year. The winner of the pageant represents INDIA at the prestigious MISS UNIVERSE pageant. The First Runner-Up represents INDIA at the prestigious MISS SUPRANATIONAL pageant.
With Former Miss Universe and Bollywood ActorLara Dutta as the mentor, the search finally begins for a girl who embodies beauty and beyond and has the spirit to conquer the universe. The Gorgeous Lara Dutta said,“I am looking forward to be a part of this exciting journey of finding the country’s next Yamaha Fascino Miss Diva 2018. The auditions will travel to 10 cities across the country in its quest to find a girl who is a perfect representation of Indian beauty and is a blend of elegance, confidence, poise, intelligence and the right attitude”.
The much awaited auditions were held at Indore Marriott Hotel, which is located in the heart of the city and has come on board as the perfect host as the Hospitality & Venue partner in Indore, saw over 80 shortlisted entries that were invited for the auditions. An elite fashionable set of panelists and judges included Yamaha Fascino Miss Diva Miss Universe India 2014 – NoyonitaLodh – an Indian model and beauty pageant winner who was crowned at Miss Universe 2014 in Doral, Florida on 25 January 2015 and was the 11th Runner Up,along with Indore based Designer Asif Shah who selected and screened the contestants. The contestants were judged on various parameters ranging from ramp walk, perfect body, communications skills and more.
Yamaha Fascino, on the insatiable quest to stimulate the fashionable youngsters, is the Title Sponsor of the beauty pageant in its 5th year. The rewarding association will bring onboard its strength and expertise to support talented and ambitious women of today till their much-cherished first stardom.
This year the pageant is styled by Central, one of India’s favorite fashion department store.
The hunt for Miss Universe India 2018 thatbegan from June 24, will be conducted in ten cities including Lucknow, Kolkata, Indore, Hyderabad, Pune, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh and Delhi, and will culminate in Mumbai. This will be followed by a four-city tour, which has been introduced for the first time this year. It’s a unique concept-based event which will see participants vie for the crown. Sub-contests will be conducted along with thematic evenings in the four cities – Goa, Delhi, Chennai and Mumbai.
The auditions were judged by an esteemed set of judges from the industry, screening the contestants and choosing the best of the best, via various rounds at the auditions. The themes were designed and judged on various parameters ranging from ramp walk, perfect body, communication skills and more. The selected girls will be fast-tracked to the final round of the auditions. In the past, the pageant has changed lives of likes of Neha Dhupia, Urvashi Rautela and Mansi Moghe.
